Thanks to Serial, we've seen the resurgence of podcasts over the past couple of years. But with an increasingly saturated market, where do you begin looking for your new favourite podcast? Luckily, we've curated a list of some of the best energy-related podcasts out there so you don't have to waste any time searching. Just plug in and find out more about the world of energy...

The Interchange

Hosted by energy futurist Jigar Shah, energy policy expert Katherine Hamilton and Greentech Editor Stephen Lacey aka 'The Energy Gang', this weekly podcast explores the tech, politics and driving forces behind the energy market and environmental issues. With a great rapport and high-production value, The Green Gang focus on the US market, discussing topics like Nest,Cleantech,  and how the utility industry is rebranding itself.

Solar Speaks

Solar Speaks gives you the chance to listen to power industry heavyweights on a range of solar-related topics. It might be bite-sized but this 10-minute podcast delves into topics like solar storage, why breweries are going solar, and gives you insight to some of the most interesting people in the industry.

The Energy Show

You probably know Renewable Energy Wold, but did you know they host a weekly podcast? The Energy Show is a 30-minute podcast where host, Barry Cinnamon, discusses all things renewable. While it may focus on solar energy, The Energy Show digs into a huge range of topics including energy in the home, oil & gas rates, trends, and the future of energy. It's an engaging podcast with a great host.

Energy Weekly

The Financial Times podcast is informational but, as probably expected, a bit dry. Luckily they are short. At around 15 minutes each weekly episode will get you up-to-date with the hot energy topics. Whether it is Libyan oil, UK nuclear, or Australian carbon pricing, you will come away with a newfound knowledge of the energy industry.  Unfortunately, Energy Weekly isn't on Soundcloud, but you can stream it FT's site directly.
