We’ve certainly been getting out and about so far this year, this week attending the Official London launch of the Energy Systems Catapult.

Held at the IET’s head office in Savoy Place, London, on the 9th May 2016, the McLean Ross team are excited to see what’s in store for the intelligent energy system, along with over 200 delegates across the energy industry.

The Energy Systems Catapult aims to deliver economic value to the UK through supporting the successful transformation of the energy mix that is affordable and secure, that works for homes and businesses alike.

Having been running since 2015, the Energy Systems Catapult has already hit a number of key milestones and achieved a level of excellence like no other. This includes:

  • Delivering the UK’s largest programme addressing the decarbonisation of residential heat
  • Scoping city scale smart energy demonstrators in partnership with industry
  • Developing collaborative Whole System Approaches to the energy challenge

The launch of the Energy Systems Catapult will consist of a number of keynote speeches, and two key interaction strategic panel sessions covering it impact on the UK’s energy sector and The Catapult’s five year plan.
